BEACH WEDDINGS ARE NOT FOR EVERYBODY…
THEY’RE FOR THE LUCKIEST ONES!

Beach Wedding NC & SC Minister Officiant
Reverend Dr. Susan Kennedy

You’re getting married at the Beach—the fantasy of tens of thousands of couples all over the world! Congratulations! Your hearts will be pounding in sync with the waves!

Your beach wedding Minister / Officiant is a critical choice because we set the tone of your ceremony: some make it dry & official, others personal & celebratory. Your Minister / Officiant can make you feel loved, excited and grateful, or make you feel like just another person writing a check. I am joyous, grateful, low-key, relaxed, flexible and pretty much always really happy--& I’ve written & performed around 900 weddings as of this writing. You get the idea.

For those who need to at least narrow down their beach wedding choice of Minister / Officiant, is a bullet-list. After that, I hope you’ll read on to the more detailed beach wedding web pages on this site.

  1. I custom-create every single wedding that I perform for the simple reason that I loooove what I do. Virtually every other Minister/Officiant I know has you choose from a number of pre-written scripts—a “hope they pronounce my name right” kind of thing.
  2. I’m seminary-trained to perform weddings for couples of the same faith, different faiths, interracial, cross-cultural, ceremonies including your children, vow renewals… In both tone & content, “Flexible” is my credo!
  3. Weather forecast: In somewhere around 350 outdoor weddings, I have had it rain exactly ONCE. When you hire me, the odds are great that you’ll have clear weather!
  4. You can write your own vows, or I’ll write them for you. You’ll repeat them after me, line by line; & never have to memorize a thing!
  5. You have full edit rights to your own ceremony!
  6. Unlike some Minister/Officiant, I do not nickel-&-dime you by charging more for certain ceremonies, or asking an additional $5 or $10 for shell necklaces you’ll give each other, or for a bottle of beach sand, or flower petals strewn around you on the sand.
  7. My other wedding website, for non-beach ceremonies, is www.PerfectCircleWeddings.com. This site will give you a good idea of traditions you might want to use, as well as more info on my background--&, of course, glowing testimonials!
  8. After your witnesses have signed your marriage license, I'll send it in for you--one less thing for you to worry about!
  9. I’m also a Ph.D. Counselor, so relationship advice—either before or after your wedding—is an area in which I’m a pro. I want you to stay not just married, but happily married! I don’t insist on premarital counseling, but I certainly think it’s a very smart idea--& insurance policy. The national success rate of U.S. weddings is 51%, but the couples I’ve counseled before their marriage have a success rate, going back about a dozen years, is about 95%.
  10. I think it’s extremely important to choose a Minister/Officiant who’s been happily married a long time, because this becomes someone you can turn to for advice at any time in the future, with great confidence.
Between being married, myself, since the earth was a molten mass, having performed somewhere around 900 weddings as of this writing, & having performed & studied so much counseling, I make sure to give you hands-on, practical advice & not just some pie-in-the-sky something to read.

Let’s make your NC or SC beach wedding day happen!
